A dry cold front swept across the area this morning creating some breezy conditions and falling temperatures for this afternoon. Eventually overnight lows will end up right around 30 degrees, and in the 20s north and west of DC. Tomorrow will feature more sunshine than today with temperatures in the low 40s and a breeze from time to time. By the time it is the stroke of midnight, leading into New Year’s Day-temperatures will be right around 30 degrees with clear skies and light winds. New Year’s Day will be pleasant but chilly with daytime highs in the mid to upper 30s. A 2 part system moving in for Thursday could bring some snow/rain to the region for Thursday night into Friday. Still a lot of details to be worked out but still keeping chances of precip on for that timeframe before we clear out on Friday…temperatures in the lower to mid 30s for Friday and Saturday.
