A large area of low pressure off the Carolina Coast has kept most of the region under cloudy skies today. As that system moves farther out to sea, we will notice some clearing that will lead to partly sunny skies tomorrow. It will be noticeably milder on Wednesday as a warm front slowly approaches the region.

That front may produce a few showers and warmer temperatures on Thursday. A cold front will follow suit on Friday. Areas of rain will become likely during the day on Friday and will linger into the weekend. It will stay quite mild through Friday, as well. IF the front passes completely though the area, temperatures may take a nosedive over the weekend.
