Washington D.C. Forecast: Winter Warm Up on the Way

Temperatures are up and down over the next few days but warming up just in time for the official start of Winter.

This Afternoon:
Overcast, PM Rain Showers
Temperatures: 40-45
Wind: SW 3-5 mph
Overnight:
Cloudy, Increasing Winds
Lows: 28 - 34
Wind: Increasing, NW 6-12 mph
Wednesday:
Sun/Clouds
Highs: Around 40
Wind: NW 10-15 mph (dec. afternoon)

With a warm front lifting to the north today, mild conditions ensue across the region bringing temperatures into the low to mid 40s.

A chance of afternoon and evening rain showers (light snow showers west of the DC region) with a cold front scooting through later on through the day. Winds will begin to increase during the overnight hours and will stick through the first part of tomorrow.

Wind chills tomorrow will actually feel like they are close to 30 degrees even though our air temperature will be around 40 degrees. A mix of sun and clouds will continue tomorrow with increasing clouds through the day on Thursday.

Thursday our temperatures will noticeably begin to change, moving into the upper 40s. By Friday, 50s across the temperature board with a slight chance of evening showers.

A better chance comes through the weekend as another cold front approaches the area. Temperatures will soar to right around 60 degrees for the weekend with chances of rain showers each day. Remember, Winter officially begins Saturday at 12:11 p.m. (but it will feel more like Spring!).
