A few clouds overnight won't do much to keep temperatures from falling into the 20s. Look for plenty of sunshine Monday morning followed by increasing afternoon clouds.

Highs will only manage to rebound into the lower to middle 30s with wind chills subtracting about 10 to 12 degrees.

Don't be surprised if you see a few flurries Tuesday, with the best chances well north of the District. Highs will be in the lower to middle 40s. A more substantial jump in temperatures will arrive by Thursday and continue into Friday.

50s are not out of the question, but a front may squash the trend for the upcoming weekend. Different forecast models show a wide rage of timing possibilities for the front - the slower it moves, the milder it will be.
