Temperature continue to warm up a little bit each day this week, today is no exception to that with the warmest day coming tomorrow.  We will have quite a bit of cloud cover again today with a few peeks of sunshine possible.

This Afternoon

A powerful cold front in the West will slowly be making it's way toward the east coast and an area of low pressure will ride up the front to give a few chances of rain, then wintry weather late in the weekend. We start off Thursday with some drizzle and clouds with some sunny breaks possible midday.  Temperatures will be unseasonably mild in the mid 60s. The average high today at Reagan National Airport is 50 degrees.  A few showers will be possible ahead of the front by late day on Thursday and continue on and off Friday. (Bring an umbrella to the Tree Lighting Friday afternoon/evening).  A break in the wet weather on Saturday as the cold air moves in.  By Sunday, the low arrives and could bring a mix of rain and snow or freezing rain late morning. The timing and precipitation type are still uncertain.  We should be warm enough on Monday, that we only have rain, and no icing concerns.  Storm Team 7 will have a better idea on Friday, as to what kind of precip we will have on Sunday.
