Rain will develop after midnight and intensify Sunday morning as an area of low pressure quickly moves across the Chesapeake Bay. With highs in the 40s around the DC area, this will be an ALL rain event. Rain totals may exceed one-inch in many locations.
Skies clear a bit Sunday night and another round of cold air will move in. Highs Monday will be in the lower 40s. Daytime temperatures will reach the upper 30s on the last day of 2013.
Some weather forecast models indicate an area of low pressure may develop Thursday and Friday near the mid-Atlantic. If this does happen, enough cold air will be in place to bring our region wintry weather. Stay tuned!
