Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Cold Christmas day, milder by end of week

Although we won't have any snow Christmas Day, it will sure feel like it. Highs will only be in the middle 30s!

Overnight:
Mainly Clear, Cold and Breezy
Lows: 18°-25°
Wind: Northwest 10-18 mph
Christmas Day:
Mostly Sunny and Cold
Highs: near 35°
Wind: Northeast 10-15 mph
Thursday:
Scattered Clouds
Highs: 40°-45°
Wind: Northwest 8-12 mph

Skies will gradually clear during the evening hours as temperatures fall to the upper teens and middle 20s. With a reinforced shot of cold air, Christmas Day highs will only be in the middle 30s.

Look for the thermometer to rise a bit  Thursday and Friday with highs in the lower to middle 40s. As for the rest of 2013, it appears to be dry with near average daytime highs and overnight lows.
