Tranquil weather conditions, and milder highs, for day after Christmas shoppers.

This Afternoon:
Partly to mostly sunny, breezy
Temperatures: 40-45 degrees
Wind: NW 10-15 mph
             Mainly clear and cold
Highs: 20s; 30s downtown
Wind: NW 5 mph
Mostly sunny and milder
Temperatures: Mid to upper 40s
Wind: S 5-10 mph

Yesterday's high at Reagan National was 33 degrees, which makes it the coldest Christmas since 2004!  The next few days will bring slightly milder and more seasonable temperatures.

Behind the front that slid through early this morning, expect a mix of sun and clouds today with more seasonable highs in the mid 40s.  Today will be quite breezy through the afternoon, which will make it feel a bit chillier.  Much of the same is expected tomorrow and Saturday (minus the breezy winds), before wet weather returns.

A coastal system will bring rain to the region on Sunday.  It should all be out of here by Monday, but then a strong cold front will slide through Monday bringing colder temperatures for the last day of 2013 and first few days of the New Year.
