After a chilly weekend, we start a warming trend.

This Afternoon:
Mostly Cloudy
Highs: Upper 40s to near 50
Wind: NE 5
Tonight:
Mostly Cloudy
Lows: 30s
Wind: Light and Variable
Tuesday:
Partly Sunny
Highs: Low 50s
Wind: N -> SW 5

The work week starts out with near average temperatures, but a gradual warm up can be expected for most of the rest of the week. While our weather pattern will be dry the next few days, we will see quite a bit of cloud cover.  A few more peeks of sunshine can be expected tomorrow.

This Afternoon

Winds will be light and variable, so no big wind chill factor.  Our average high today is 51 degrees.  While we will likely end up just shy of that mark, it will feel pretty good compared to our weather late last week.  Temps will swing on the other side to warmer than average starting tomorrow afternoon as winds change to the southwest.  For more on typical December weather, check out my blog here.  That warmer air will get drawn in our direction, as a very powerful storm that is in the northern Rockies today moves southward.  It will be a great week to get outside and put up some holiday decorations if you haven't already done that. If you have a nice display and would like to have Eileen Whelan visit your place in Storm Chaser 7 and do live weather reports during Good Morning Washington, we would love for you to submit a photo of it to gmw@wjla.com  Our producer, Sara, will be in touch if you are selected!  Hope to see your submissions soon!
