Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Wintry weather moves out overnight, brighter Sunday

Snow, sleet and rain will end overnight allowing for skies to gradually clear for the second half of the weekend.

Overnight:
Mostly Cloudy and Cold
Lows: 30°-35°
Wind: Northwest 8-12 mph
Sunday:
Gradual Clearing, Breezy and Cool
Highs: 38°-43°
Wind: West 15-20 mph
Monday:
Increasing PM Clouds
Highs: middle 30s
Wind: North 5-10 mph

After a gloomy, wet and cold Saturday, look for improving conditions tomorrow. Rain has quickly exited the area as temperatures fall to the upper 20s and lower 30s. Look for snow overnight from New York City to Boston, along with significant travel delays.

Winds will increase Sunday as highs rebound to the upper 30s and lower 40s. A reinforcing shot of colder air is set to arrive Monday dropping daytime highs back to the middle 30s along with added cloud cover.
