Spring- like warmth today with rain and colder air arriving tomorrow!

Patchy AM Fog, Mainly Cloudy, Breezy & Warm
Highs: 64º-69º
Wind: S 5-10 mph
Mostly Cloudy, Showers Develop
Lows: 57º-63º
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Areas of Rain, Cooling
Temperatures: 60º AM, Falling into the 40s
Precipitation: 80%

A warm front lifting through the area is providing a bit of fog- even a spot of drizzle is not out of the question. Otherwise, expect another mainly gray day, but with even warmer air surging into the region.

Temperatures will peak well into the 60s; maybe even near 70º in some spots that will also see additional sun. Rain moves in for Friday ahead and along a potent cold front.

Expect a mild start to Friday followed by plummeting temperatures as the cooler air sinks in. An early shower may linger Saturday, but the bulk of the day looks dry yet cooler but perfect for the Scottish Weekend Walk and Parade with Grand Marshall Adam Caskey!

By Sunday, as an area of low pressure passes west of our area, enough cold air will be in place at the surface and aloft, to set the stage for a wintry mix of snow, sleet, rain and even pockets of freezing rain.

However, for areas east of the Blue Ridge, including the I-95 corridor, it should be only a waiting game for temperatures at ground level and aloft to warm sufficiently above freezing to produce just plain old rain. Warmer temperatures will return briefly on Monday. Have a great day!
