Another arctic plunge is sweeping through our area bringing temperatures rapidly down through the day today. Winds will shift from the south to the northwest behind the front bringing wind chill values down as our temperatures drop. A wind chill advisory is in place for much of the region late tonight through tomorrow morning. That means wind chills are going to be 5 to 10 degrees below zero overnight tonight and through tomorrow morning. The brightside is it looks as if the winds decrease heading into tomorrow afternoon. Daytime highs for your Tuesday will only reach the mid-teens to around 20 degrees with cloudy skies. Our next system will skirt up the coast from the Carolinas bringing some light snow south and east of the DC area into Wednesday morning.

ZZZZZ

By mid-morning on Wednesday, sunshine will return but the cold temperatures will also return with it. Daytime highs settle in the low to mid 20s.
