The snow is over, but we still have wind and cold on the back side of the storm.

We generally received 1-3 inches in the metro area with higher amounts in Northern Maryland. Here are some preliminary numbers, including a tied record at Dulles Airport.

Snow Totals

Winds gusting from 30-40 mph this morning will diminish this afternoon, but temperatures will hold near steady.  After a bitter cold start on Saturday, we will recover Saturday afternoon.

Saturday Morning Lows

In fact, many of us will warm just above freezing to allow some melting, but we freeze back up Saturday night.
Sunday will be among the warmest days in the 40s that afternoon, but rain showers will be possible and it will change to snow that night.  It will be followed by a bitter cold Monday and Tuesday.
In fact, record low temperatures could be in jeopardy Tuesday morning. Stay tuned!!
