Fog at 8a.m. in Fairfax, VA

Visibility dropped below 1/4 mile in many spots this morning. Only the Western spots escaped the pea soup.  Delays were reported at all D.C. airports due to the fog and low clouds.

Changable conditions expected the rest of the day as winds ahead of the next clipper system pick up and mix the atmosphere to break out of our haze and even a few peeks of sunshine.  There may be a few light rain showers and/or snow showers this evening, but nothing big expected.

Futurecast this Evening

Cooler temperatures will be the rule the rest of the week. A second clipper will arrive Friday night and Saturday morning and could squeeze out a few snow showers again. It will be limited with little to no accumulation.  Temperatures will be chilly on Saturday, only in the 30s.
