A coastal storm brushed the metro area with a trace to 2" of snow last night and brought considerable amounts to the Va and MD Beaches.  Check out the updated snowfall totals map.

High pressure has now shoved the storm out of our region and is bringing beautiful clear conditions.  That high will slip to our east and change the wind direction to the south starting tomorrow and that will kick off a warming trend. Dry weather expected through the workweek (although watching Friday for possible changes).  All that snow should be gone by the end of the weekend as warmer temperatures arrives.  Near 50 on Saturday.  Chances of rain will increase, especially by Sunday.
