Clouds on the increase for today as temperatures slowly rise through the 20s nearing 30 degrees. On the cold side today with snow moving in later this evening. Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for the region with the exception of Calvert and St. Mary’s County in Southern Maryland- both begin this evening. Snow will spread across the DC metro area between 8PM – 10PM tonight and continue into the overnight hours. There should be several inches on the ground by the time you wake up tomorrow morning. Continuing to watch the rain/snow line transition father to the west by the morning hours. More sleet/rain would obviously cut down on snow totals, therefore around the I-95 corridor and areas to the east will see less snow than the western suburbs that will have continuous snow throughout the duration of the event. Pretty windy tomorrow as well through the day. Precip moves out by the afternoon to evening hours. Sunshine returns on Friday as winds begin to die down, temperatures will climb into the lower 40s.
