WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect from 1 am until noon Wednesday. Snow expected to begin around 4 am in the metro area and end by 10 am with a total accumulation between 1 and 3 inches. This does not mean everyone will see 3 inches (top of the range). With temperatures in the 20s, the snow will stick… unlike this morning, when a lot of the snow melted upon falling.

Clearing skies in the forecast this evening. But later tonight, the clouds will roll right back overhead in advance of the next upper level disturbance that will again produce the possibility of 1 to 3 inches of snow tomorrow morning. Temperatures will drop into the 20s tonight meaning that same to 1-3 inches will have a greater impact than the snow that fell earlier today when temperatures were warmer. The snow will end by mid to late morning tomorrow with clearing skies. Tomorrow’s evening rush should not be an issue. The next event will be a chance of light snow or rain Saturday. We are looking at the possibility of a more substantial system to affect the are Sunday evening through the day on Monday. Precipitation type…rain and/or snow…is still not certain.
