Look for partly cloudy skies overnight and temperatures in the 20s. Skies will remain cloudy Sunday with highs rebounding to the middle and upper 30s. Look for snow and rain showers, however, any accumulation will be limited if anything at all.

An area of high pressure will build Monday and should hold until at least Tuesday afternoon. During this time period, I anticipate dry conditions and afternoon temperatures in the 30s.

The tricky and most uncertain part of the forecast comes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We often talk about computer models when preparing our extended outlooks. At this point, it is possible an area of low pressure could develop bringing parts, if not all of the mid-Atlantic some type of precipitation. Whether or not it will be snow, sleet, rain or a mixture has yet to be determined. In other words, the models we use are all over the place. Over the coming days, we will have a better idea of what to expect.
