You've got a day to dig out. But a little more snow is on the way.

This Afternoon:
Morning Sunshine, Increasing Clouds, PM
Highs: Low 40s
Wind: SW 5-10
Tonight:
Snow after Midnight
Lows: Around 30
Snow: 80%
Saturday:
Morning Snow, partial clearing late
Highs: Mid to Upper 30s
Snow: Around 1"

A nice quiet day to dig out from our winter storm. Here's a look at some of the numbers.

D.C. area Snow Totals

We will add to it overnight tonight and Saturday morning as a clipper swings through our area.  Best chance of accumulating snow will be west of D.C. where you could get a few inches of snow.  I am estimating around an inch for D.C. ,but it could be a little more or a little less.

Predicted Snow Starts Overnight

Some mixing with rain is possible, especially south of the city.  Snow should stop just after the noon hour on Saturday with a quiet rest of the weekend.  With all of this snow, we  need a slow melt, and with highs in the mid 30s this weekend, that bodes well for us.  Temperatures look to warm much more significantly late next week.
