Rain, Snow and Sleet hit this morning across the region, but improving conditions this afternoon. And another system could be on tap for Tuesday night.

This Afternoon:

Temperatures: 30s
Wind: N 5-10
Tonight:
Mostly Cloudy
Lows: Mid to upper 20s
Wind: N 3-6
Tuesday:
Mostly Cloudy
Highs: Mid 30s
Wind: NE 3-6

We have had quite the span of precipitation types across the region this morning. D.C. hanging on to upper 30s and more than an inch of rain, while areas north and west have seen sleet and accumulating snow.  Check out the preliminary snowfall totals.

Preliminary Snowfall Totals

While warnings and advisories are posted from the National Weather Service until 4p.m it looks like this system is starting to exit quickly and I expect it to end sooner rather than later.  There may be some partial clearing late this afternoon/evening but skies will be mostly cloudy overnight.  There is another system heading our way Tuesday night into Wednesday morning that may start as some freezing rain or wintry mix, so a heads up on possible slick roads on the Wednesday morning commute. We will fine tune that for you tomorrow.  The rest of the week will be cool and dry with more clouds than sunshine.
