Look for a partly sunny, breezy, and very spring-like day with highs in the upper 60s.  Spring gets the cold shoulder tomorrow however as temperatures will be 20 degrees lower.

This Afternoon:
Partly Sunny, Breezy, Warmer
Highs: 65-70
Wind: S 10-15/G 20 mph
Decreasing Clouds, Cooler
Lows: 35-40
Wind: NW 10-15 mph
Mostly Cloudy, Noticeably Colder
Highs: 45-49
Wind: NW 5-10 mph

Still trying to get its footing, spring is making a tentative start on this first full weekend of the new season.  With a warm front making its way to the northeast and a cold front poised to our northwest, today will be the more comfortable of the two weekend days.  Look for a partly sunny, breezy day with wind gusts to 30 mph and soothingly mild temperatures in the upper 60s.  With a wind shift to the northwest this evening however, our spring fling will be over as chillier air moves our way for Sunday.  Under mostly cloudy skies, tomorrow will be decidedly colder with daytime highs only in the upper 40s.

Winter may be technically over, but the just departed season simply won't let go: daytime highs in the low 40s and nighttime lows in the 20s will persist through Wednesday.  Still surly, the stubborn season could also bring a mix of rain and snow on Tuesday as a nor'easter draws a bead on New England and the Atlantic seaboard.  Models suggest the DC area could receive a glancing blow, especially areas to the south.  High winds would be a threat as well as some accumulating snow. Enjoy the return of spring, however intermittent it may be!
