A full day of sunshine during the last week of March…and many spots barely reached 32 degrees. This qualifies as a rare meteorological occurrence in our area. The incredibly intense ocean storm, in conjunction with a large area of high pressure west of here, have combined to create strong winds that pulled unseasonably cold air into the region. The winds will diminish tonight and temperatures will plummet.

High pressure will provide sunshine tomorrow but as the winds shift, cloudiness will start to increase later in the day. On Friday, temperatures will climb into the 60s in advance of a cold front that will bring scattered showers to the area. An area of low pressure will develop on the front and keep good chances of showers in the area through Sunday morning. Looking ahead to next week…we may see several days…back to back…with highs in the 60s.
