A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight through 11 am Wednesday for areas along and West of I-81 and for counties in MD, VA and WV just east of I-81… for the chance of areas of very light freezing rain or drizzle. Frederick County MD… Loudoun, Northern Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties in VA are also included in the Advisory Area.

. Cool, damp air will be brought across the area this evening and areas of drizzle or light rain are possible just west of the metro area and likely the farther west you are. In areas where temperatures are at or below freezing…freezing rain or drizzle will be possible.

For most of the region tomorrow it be just cloudy…until later in the afternoon when a warm from approaches from the west. This will create new areas of rain that will overspread most of the region. Skies will clear on Thursday and the warming will begin. But it will only be temporary as much cooler air will return on Sunday and much colder air will return next week.
