A cool and rather gloomy day, but improvements late week.

This Afternoon:
Cloudy and Cool
Highs: Upper 30s
Wind: ENE 4-9
Tonight:
Mostly Cloudy
Lows: Low 30s
Wind: E 4-8
Wednesday:
Cloudy with Chance of Rain
Highs: Upper 40s
Wind: E->S 4-8

Another winter day, another dreary and cold forecast. At least no snow.  There has been some light freezing rain/drizzle over the northern neck, Southern Maryland and the DelMarVa this morning, but temperatures will warm above freezing by late this morning.  High pressure to our north and low pressure to our south will keep us "stuck in the middle" of influences.

Travel Forecast

The low and high will work together and draw in Northeasterly winds today and keep us gloomy.  The system in the central US that you see on that map will head our way for Wednesday. It could bring some light freezing rain north of D.C. in the early morning hours, but best chance of rain will be after the noon hour and we will be in the 40s by then.  Warmer, drier air arrives by Thursday.  Spring starts pleasant with sunshine and temps in the 50s. 60s for Friday and Saturday before we start cooling down again.
