Look for a brief warm-up Saturday as highs approach the middle 60s to near 70 degrees. Clouds will increase a bit during the afternoon hours as a cold front approaches from the northwest. A few sprinkles are possible, but should not amount to much. Temperatures will take another hit Sunday, with highs only in the 40s and a few brief periods of light rain.

Skies will clear a bit Monday with highs only in the lower 40s. Some computer models indicate a storm may form off the coast of North Carolina late Monday and into Tuesday. This early in the game, many outcomes are possible including snow, wintry mix or hardly anything at all. Colder air should retreat by Thursday of next week.
