Cold and blustery, but warmer temperatures coming.

This Afternoon:
Sunny Skies
Highs: Low 40s
Wind: NW 10-20+
Tonight:
Clear and Cold
Lows: Low to Mid 20s
Wind: NW->S 3-6
Wednesday:
Partly Cloudy and Mild
Highs: Low 50s
Wind: S 7-12

A wildly powerful storm is cranking just northeast of us with amazing pressure falls and intense winds.  It's the same system that covered the D.C. region with 1.5-3.5" of snow yesterday.  In the wake of this storm, high pressure is taking over, and it will be a chilly and windy day. Highs around 40 degrees, but feeling like upper 20s at best with the wind and cold.

Surface Forecast this Afternoon

 If you're ready for a warm up, we've got it for you.  That high will shift offshore by tomorrow, and winds become southerly.  That will allow temps to pop into the low 50s, with a nice stretch of 60s into the weekend.  A cold front approaches on Friday afternoon and bring a chance of showers... not snow.  The rain and warmer temps should bring bare ground back to the area.
