If it seems unusually cold this morning, you're right!  Records have been broken and most of us woke up to single digits.  Dulles broke the daily record low of 6 degrees set back in 1980 and it appears likely it also tied the all time record low for the month of March at -1.  The National Weather Service in Sterling has yet to verify the official low temperature.  It will be slow warming today under partly cloudy skies.  Temps will reach the upper 20s to lower 30s.  We will gradually warm up the rest of the week, but staying well below the average high of 52 degrees until we get to the weekend. And the 6 to 10 day outlook?  You might not want to peek:

6-10 Day Temperature Departure

The only chances of rain/snow will come Thursday night into Friday morning.  A coastal system may get close enough to bring a wintry mix, best chance over southern Maryland.
