Partly Cloudy & Cool
Lows: 43-49
Wind: NE 5-10 mph

Rain: 20% Chance

While there were a few sprinkles yesterday and today won't be quite as warm as Saturday, this last weekend of April is turning out to be springtime at its finest!  The temperature soared to 78 at Reagan National late yesterday afternoon as winds gusted to almost 40 mph and skies stayed partly sunny.  With high pressure overhead and winds still a bit brisk, this morning was a tad chilly.  But plenty of sunshine and diminishing winds will make for a very comfortable afternoon with highs in the upper 60s.  For those who ran in or watched the Nike Women's Half Marathon - indeed for anyone planning to be outdoors this afternoon - it is a classic spring day.

An approaching warm front that will stall to our south will however change our weather tomorrow.  Mostly cloudy skies are likely by afternoon and showers are a possibility late in the day.  A large storm system in the Midwest and plenty of Gulf moisture will bring unsettled weather through much of the coming week.  Tuesday looks to be a rather chilly day with highs only in the upper 50s and some periods of heavy rain possible.  Rain is likely again on Wednesday and even into Thursday morning.  Temperatures will moderate after Tuesday with daytime highs close to the seasonal norm of 70.  Enjoy your Sunday and the coming wet, but pollen-reduced days!
