Spring's first steps have been a bit awkward, but the colorful buds and blooming flowers are sure signs that there is no going back!  Still, the brisk winds yesterday that gusted to almost 40 mph made us question the season's seriousness: the daytime high of 60, the coolest reading this month, felt more like the low 50s.  Today however, is making up for Saturday's flaws.  The strong northwesterly breezes have subsided and the early morning temperatures in the 30s notwithstanding, a mostly sunny and milder day is developing.  Look for light winds out of the north and high temperatures around 60 this afternoon that won't be diminished by wind chill.

Clouds will be on the increase overnight as a system to our southeast draws closer. With plenty of moisture to tap, the system will combine with brisk easterly winds to produce a rather chilly and dismal Monday.  Look for morning rain to develop and then intensify later in the evening. An inch or more of rain is possible. Thereafter. the rain threat lessens and our temperature prospects soar with readings around 70 likely late in the week.  Enjoy your Sunday!
