Get ready for some wet weather this week, so hopefully you enjoyed the weekend! The system that has been plaguing the Midwest over the weekend will eventually get D.C. area into the action. Rain showers will spread into the region from the southwest to the northeast this afternoon through the evening hours. Rain will be light tonight but more is on the way tomorrow. The chance for some rain showers continue on Tuesday (pockets of light rain to moderate rain to no rain at times) with temperatures only sticking in the upper 50s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be on the breezy side as well but winds on Wednesday will move in from the south, pushing our air temperatures to near 70 for a daytime high. As more rain is expected on Wednesday, there could be a few thunderstorms in the mix as well with some pretty heavy rainfall. Even Thursday morning expect a few showers to continue before finally moving out of the region. Temperatures on Thursday with some clearing should move into the mid 70s. A mix of sun and clouds on Friday, Friday looks like the most pleasant day of this work week with temperatures near 70 degrees.
