A frontal boundary will continue to bring rain chances to the region tonight through Friday night.

Showers Likely
Lows: 40s to Near 50
Precipitation: 80%
Mostly Cloudy, Showers Possible
Highs: Around 60
Wind: E 5-10 m.p.h.
Mostly Sunny, Breezy and Mild
Highs: Mid 60s
Wind: NW 10-20 m.p.h.

Considerable cloudiness and scattered showers will be our weather story through tonight. A warm front has become stationary just south of the VA/NC state line. The front will move northward tomorrow and complicate our forecast of showers and their timing and the level of afternoon high temperatures. In general, the farther north of Washington you are, the cooler it will be. The farther south of Washington you are, the warmer it will be.

And now the rain outlook….scattered showers are possible tomorrow morning and they will become likely at some point tomorrow afternoon and evening. In fact, as a strong cold front approaches tomorrow night there could be isolated thunderstorms and heavy downpours. The big question is what will the weather be at Nats Park before, during and after the Home Opener tomorrow. Right now, there seems to be a chance the rain will hold off until late afternoon BUT there is still a chance showers could fall during the game. Sunshine will return in full force for the weekend.
