We are socked in…under an unseasonably chilly air mass. The rain ended this afternoon but widespread drizzle and areas of fog will continue tonight. Later tonight a warm front will slowly move northward towards our area. That front winds and turns it’s way westward to a parent low pressure center moving northeastward through the Ohio Valley. With the approach of the warm front, drizzle and fog will be likely and a few additional showers cannot be ruled out.
By tomorrow morning, both the low pressure center and the warm front are expected to be north of our area. Northwesterly wind s will be developing and become quite breezy through the day. This will bring clearing skies and much milder temperatures back to the region. Other than a passing sprinkle on Wednesday, we expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 60s.
Mostly sunny skies are forecast for Thursday with highs in the upper 60s. And by Friday, temperatures may reach the lower 70s in spots under partly cloudy skies. Right now, we are mentioning a 30% chance of Friday afternoon showers.
