Right on schedule, Mother Nature is about to deliver three wonderfully warm days for the unofficial start of summer!  With high pressure building in from the Great Lakes, we can look for a mostly sunny and increasingly warm, but comfortable Memorial Day weekend.  The gusty northwesterly winds overnight are beginning to subside, but will continue throughout the day at 10 to 15 mph.  With fair skies and temperatures in the 50s, it was a pleasantly cool start to the day with highs aiming for the upper 70s this afternoon.  Those same clear skies before dawn also offered a good view of the the new Camelopardalid meteor showers, the shooting stars from the giraffe constellation.

Sunday will feature yet more sunshine and somewhat warmer temperatures and lighter winds.  Highs tomorrow will be around 80 with the dew points staying in the comfortable range.  Memorial Day itself will be the warmest of the three days with highs in the upper 80s and a touch more humidity.  Still, skies should remain rain-free throughout the period.  The beaches too will be pleasant with a cool start today in the upper 60s, but the mid 70s and near 80 on Sunday and Monday, respectively.  Enjoy these days that we could only dream of back in the winter that wouldn't end!
