After two days of rather muggy air, more humidity is on tap for early next week, Mother Nature has made an exception for moms by serving up a very comfortable Mother's Day.  With a weak cold front moving through and northwesterly breezes en route, we can look forward to dew points dropping into the 50s, highs near 80, and mostly sunny skies.

In a month that has seen all but two days with high temperatures above the 74 degree norm, the next few days will skew the hot numbers even higher.  Highs on Monday and Tuesday, influenced by a large Bermuda High that will direct warm, humid air our way, could hit 90 both days. Thereafter, a succession of cold fronts will drop temperatures into the upper 70s on Wednesday and Thursday and then just near 70 on Friday.  The weather will be unsettled throughout the period with mostly cloudy skies and the threat of showers and thunderstorms each day.  Have a Happy Mother's Day!
