We are really warming things up around the area today and into early next week! Temperatures today should have no problem making it into the 80s (mid 80s around DC, Upper 80s south of DC and upper 70s/lower 80s north and around the water). Maybe a few peeks of sunshine today but mostly clouds as we continue into the afternoon and fog burns off. A few showers and thunderstorms may roll into the area during the afternoon hours but most will wait until the late evening hours and into the overnight hours. Overnight lows will only fall into the mid 60s. Scattered rain showers with a few embedded thunderstorms expected throughout your Saturday. Temperatures will rise to the upper 70s under cloudy skies on Saturday. Everything should be out by Saturday night with some clearing taking place overnight leading into Sunday. Mother's Day Sunday looks fantastic with daytime highs reaching to the lower to mid 80 once again! Plenty of sunshine with just a few clouds here and there on Sunday and not quite AS humid. By Monday we are feeling the heat. Daytime highs rise to the upper 80s! We stay to near 90 on Tuesday as well with rain showers moving in late Tuesday night and continuing through Wednesday.
