High pressure over the Great Lakes will draw in less humid air and cooler temperatures today.  The batch of showers and isolated thunderstorms last night wasn't really needed, but did help spruce up the garden and should bring the pollen count down a little.

24-hour rainfall totals

A stationary front over North Carolina will lift northward tomorrow and bring a few afternoon showers across the region.  This will allow warm air to surge into D.C. beginning on Thursday and bring our temperatures into the 80s.  The warmer air will stay put for several days.  A few thunderstorms are possible over the weekend.

I hope you have a chance to watch ABC7 News at 11p.m. tonight.  I will have a special report on how a developing El Nino could impact Washington, D.C. this winter.
