FLASH FLOOD WATCH for the entire metro region from late tonight through Friday afternoon.
We have patchy morning fog once again with some peeks of sunshine later as afternoon temperatures near closer to 80º as our winds should shift from east to southeasterly. The threat of showers and storms becomes more likely west of DC as the day wears on and a potent cold front draws near. By late tonight some hefty showers and storms are likely with flash flooding as a possibility and the threat will carry into the first half of the day Friday. In fact the National Weather Service has placed a Flash Flood Watch up for the entire viewing area tonight through tomorrow afternoon. The weekend brings cooler, less humid air with cool afternoon highs that will struggle to crest the 70º mark! The pattern looks to linger into the start of next week. Have a great day!
