When it comes to weekend weather, the Washington area continues to lead a charmed life.  For while last Saturday was rather dreary, all the other weekend days for the past 6 weeks have been picture perfect.  Thus, after some heavy downpours this past week and a few days of high humidity, both today and tomorrow look to be partly to mostly sunny and seasonably warm with highs each day in the low to mid 80s.  And with dew points in the upper 50s and lower 60s, the humidity will be quite tolerable.  The high pressure that will be our benefactor throughout the period will begin to drift to the south on Monday, bringing warmer and more humid air our way.  Tuesday and Wednesday in particular should be quite sultry with highs in the lower 90s and chances of thunderstorms both days.

The good news is that a cold front on Wednesday evening should clear skies and start to humble the humidity just in time for the 4th of July.  With sunny skies, drier air, and highs in the low 80s, the 4th looks like it could be a Yankee Doodle Dandy of a day!  Enjoy your weekend.
