It's going to be another warm day across the D.C. area today with temperatures reaching into the 80s and nearing 90 in some spots once again. More clouds will be around today accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms. We will have to monitor the severe potential for storms, especially as we head into the afternoon hours and for those areas south of D.C. that have had slightly more sunshine today. Main threats would be damaging winds and hail, however, due to the moisture in the air, heavy downpours and lightning will be expected as well. Any threat of showers and storms ends in the late evening hours. Temperatures stay in the 80s tomorrow with some sunshine and lower humidity. Showers and storms move back into the region late tomorrow night and continue through the day on Saturday. Temperatures on Saturday stay in the 70s with overcast skies. By Sunday, humidity starts to creep back in as temperatures rebound back into the 80s. Taking rain chances out for Sunday.
