Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Cold front clears overnight, sunshine for the weekend

Storms will end and skies will gradually clear overnight. Look for a beautiful weekend ahead with a surge in temperatures next week.

Showers will come to an end and skies will clear as a cold front moves away from the mid-Atlantic. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s and middle 60s.

The weekend looks fantastic; from the Delmarva beaches to the mountains, bright sunshine and highs in the 80s. Hotter temps and that typical summertime feel returns next week with the hottest air mass of the year.
