After a delightful last weekend of June, July will start off hot and humid.  Speaking of the heat, two years ago today Reagan National had a record high of 104°.  Two years ago today also marks the anniversary of the derecho.  Do you remember it?  Here's a recap from our latest blog

Nothing like that today with low humidity and seasonable temperatures.  Changes are coming, as the humidity will start to rise overnight.  Highs tomorrow will climb into the upper 80s with only a slight chance of a late day shower or storm.  Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will soar into the mid 90s, but with the humidity, it will feel like the upper 90s.  As a cold front approaches from the west mid to late week, the risk of thunderstorms increases.  Also, we could have our first named tropical storm early this week, Arthur.  The StormWatch7 weather team will closely monitor the potential storm, as it could bring increasing cloudiness and possible showers for the 4th of July holiday here and at the beaches.  As of now, we remain optimistic the storm will stay far enough offshore we'll enjoy a dry holiday.  Stay tuned.
