Considerably cloudy and muggy weather has been widespread today with a few periods of sunshine. This is due to a persistent southeasterly wind across the mid-Atlantic Region. Isolated showers have developed south and west of the metro area and should diminish and end tonight.
Tomorrow will be warmer with a bit more sunshine. It will still be muggy and there will be a slight chance of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Same story into Wednesday, though Wednesday will see temperatures pushing close to 90 degrees or the lower 90s. Showers and thunderstorms may become more likely on Thursday as a cold front crosses the area. Sunny and less humid weather will develop on Friday.
