Another hot and humid day here in the DC area with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches the region, eventually swinging through tomorrow. Until then, high pressure sitting off the coast will usher in warm and humid airmass taking our temperature into the lower to mid 90s once again today. With the humidity though, expect for it to feel warmer. Winds pick up through the afternoon as well! Some of those showers and thunderstorms could lead into the evening hours, but overnight – temperatures fall into the mid 70s. Still warm and humid tomorrow but with the added cloud cover, temperatures will stick to around 90 degrees. Another chance of some showers and thunderstorms. However, once the front crosses on Wednesday, it will stall to the south of our area creating a more stable and comfortable airmass for the region. Temperatures on Thursday stay in the 80s with just a chance of a stray pop-up showers or storms. The low humidity continues into Friday with some sunshine and temperatures in the 80s. 90s return for the weekend.
