Hurricane Arthur will continue to quickly move off to the northeast this evening and overnight. Skies will clear across the mid-Atlantic as high pressure builds overhead. Nighttime lows will range from the middle 50 in the suburbs to lower 60s in the District. Sunshine and low humidity will make for a beautiful Saturday. Highs will be in the 80 to 85 degree range. Dew point levels will increase slightly on Sunday, allowing for that sticky feeling to return. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s.
Typical July heat and humidity make a full comeback Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will range from the lower to middle 90s with heat index readings make it feel even more uncomfortable. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms dot radar later in the week.
