Showers and thunderstorms will dot radar overnight as a cold front moves to the east. Hurricane Arthur will continue to track along the North Carolina coast.  While this combination could prolong and expand rainfall, we believe the merging effects of the front and Arthur will most likely be felt east and southeast of the Chesapeake Bay.  Overnight low will range from the middle 60s to lower 70s.

As Arthur accelerates off the coast tomorrow morning, weather conditions will rapidly improve from west to east across our area and then the entire mid-Atlantic region. It will be a bit breezy Friday with highs in the 80s. Saturday and Sunday will be beautiful with highs around 85 degrees.
