Skies will clear from west to east, as breezy winds usher in drier air for the holiday weekend.

This Afternoon:
Partly cloudy, breezy, becoming less humid
Highs: Low 80s
Wind: NW 10-20+ mph
Mainly clear and comfortably cool
Lows: 54-62°
Wind: NW 5-10 mph
Mostly sunny and pleasant
Highs: Low to mid 80s
Wind: NW 5-10 mph

Hurricane Arthur is moving farther out to sea and a cold front that slid through this morning has ushered in more comfortable air.  For the latest on hurricane Arthur and a closer look at our fireworks forecast, check out our latest StormWatch7 blog

It'll remain quite breezy for the rest of the afternoon, but expect a good bit of sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s. The winds will die down a bit by the time the fireworks are set to go off at 9:10p on the National Mall, so that should not be an issue.

The rest of the holiday weekend will be delightful, as high pressure settles in over the region.  Expect plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and seasonable temperatures in the 80s.  Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
