Any lingers showers and storms will come to an end overnight as temperatures drop to the upper 60s and middle 70s. A cold front will stretch out between the Eastern Shore and southeast Virginia Wednesday and may become stationary. This will keep very warm and humid conditions tomorrow for the D.C area. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop again during the afternoon hours.

Slightly lower temperatures are set to arrive Thursday and Friday – with hotter weather back in the forecast this weekend.
