Because of the recent active weather pattern, saturated ground, and more rain on the way, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of the viewing area. The counties in affect are: Washington; Frederick; Carroll; Northern Baltimore; Harford; Montgomery; Howard; Southern Baltimore; Prince Georges; Anne Arundel; Charles; St. Marys and Calvert in Maryland, Augusta; Rockingham; Shenandoah; Frederick; Page; Warren; Clarke; Nelson; Albemarle; Greene; Madison; Rappahannock; Fauquier; Loudoun; Orange; Culpeper; Prince William, Manassas, Manassas Park; Fairfax; Arlington, Falls Church, Alexandria; Stafford; Spotsylvania and King George in Virginia, and Berkeley and Jefferson in West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. With the additional one to potentially three inches of rainfall expected through tomorrow, use caution when driving as the risk for flooding in streams, creeks, and low lying areas is now a threat.
