FALL COLOR
As I said in a few of my previous blogs, it appears that our transition to Fall will finally show up in the leaves by sometime in the middle of October. Our friends over at Accuweather put this graphic together that we will show sometime tonight on our newscast. Hopefully the first frost or freeze does not come too early to spoil the duration of the color change.

SPEAKING OF FROST AND FREEZE....
Going together with the graphic displayed for the Fall color change is the average time of our first frost or freeze, which usually occurs between late October and early November. Speaking of the first freeze, checking the National Weather Service site shows a freeze watch already in place for much of western and upstate New York, northern Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as most of Maine. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s there overnight tomorrow. This fall is in line with the passage of a cold front that is expected to pass through our region tomorrow. Our lows will fall into the 40s and 50s.
