GOES-14 Weather Satellite Now In Orbit

On Saturday June 27th, a rocket carrying a new sophisticated satellite headed into orbit some 22,300 miles-high where for the next six months it will under go testing before being placed into full time use.  This new satellite, GOES 14, will join three other satellites GOES 11 and 12, already in use, as well as GOES 13 which is a back-up in "orbital storage."  For the full story  CLICK HERE.
